Clarification

Hi,
I am new to this forum and have been reading posts for a few weeks now and feel that I would like to post a question here for clarification.
About 2 yrs ago I had a spontaneous negative sleep paralysis experience, so scary that when the paralysis broke, it sent me screaming to my mother's bedroom in a hysterical mess. I haven't had a paralysis experience since. I have however been experiencing other phenomenon. Vibrations, phantom wiggling, rotating, noises including voices and what sounds like people barging into my room.
eye movements, my bed moves! I wake my husband up thinking there has been an earthquake. All of these happen spontaneously at night before sleep.
One night before sleep I felt my arm from my elbow to the tip of my fingers exit my physical arm. With a controlled movement I placed it back into my physical arm and then I woke up.
I am currently reading your e-book which I find very interesting. It is also helping me to overcome my fear of wanting to explore more.
However, I am confused. Am I in phase and sabotaging a phase experience by not going with whatever is happening at the time? And is it possible for me to start at this point? I know you recommend for beginners to start with indirect techniques but it seems that my predisposition for required states leading to phase are already happening naturally. Should I just ignore it and start with the indirect techniques?
Thank you.
